Functionality of the By-Products Hopper
The function of the by-product hopper or slides, during the slaughter of cattle, is especially important, since different by-products are eliminated on the transfer platform, but also at other points in the process.
At this point, the hind legs, udders, genitals, etc. are usually removed.
For their correct accumulation in cutter buggies or containers at ground level or on lower floors, these tube-shaped conduits are usually required to be anchored in the platform at the height of the workers and with discharge at 900mm from the ground or in a lower floor of the slaughterhouse. The dimension and diameter usually adjust to each installation, although they all have similar technical characteristics.
