Functionality of the Immersion Scalding Tank
The Immersion scalding Tank is indicated in small slaughterhouses with production between 20 and 80 pigs per hour.
This equipment for scalding pigs requires operators to move the carcass from the entry point to the side next to the epilator, where a comb will remove the pig from the scalder, dumping it into the epilator.
The Mecanova scalding raft has a water heating system by direct injection of steam controlled by a modulating pneumatic valve that guarantees the temperature required for optimal scalding. The equipment is made of AISI 304 stainless steel, and incorporates an insulator using rock wool or fiberglass to prevent temperature loss. The equipment includes filling and emptying valves, as well as an overflow.
