Functionality of the Pig Rotating Scalding
The Mecanova Rotating Scalding for Pigs (MECROT) is an ideal scalder for automating production lines between 50 and 150 pigs per hour where, in addition, there is little space.
The quality of dehairing and finishing of the carcass depends on the quality of the scalding. Low production lines do not have to have poor scalding and consequently personnel dedicated to reviewing, which reduces the productive capacity of the line and profitability. With this rotary scalding you can increase the effective production of the line and the finishing of the carcass. This scalding allows controlling the scalding time and temperature of the carcasses, eliminating one operator from the line.
The machine receives the carcasses at the top, and works in steps, conditioned by the cycles of the epilator. The carcasses are submerged in the scalding pond, keeping four animals in the water if it is the MECROT-1 model and eight, if it is the MECROT-2 model. Water heating is carried out by direct steam with proportional pneumatic valves for temperature control to a tenth of a degree.
